Oak barrels have played a vital role in winemaking for centuries, shaping both the flavor and character of fine wines. As wine ages in oak, it develops subtle notes of dried fruit, vanilla, coconut, and refined tannins, adding depth and complexity. For Oak Steed, the goal was to honor this essential part of the winemaking process while reimagining it through a contemporary lens.

In this wine branding and label design project, we sought to avoid the heavy, dated feel often associated with wood textures in packaging. Instead, the oak influence was brought to life in a modern, elevated way—balancing warmth, and texture. The result is a wine label design that tells a rich story of craftsmanship, feels fresh and premium, and is designed to stand out on crowded retail shelves and appeal to today’s wine consumer.
